Hey! are you interested in brutalizing an opponent? The Indian team just taught us.
It was the decider,The evening was lit, the crowd was pumped up and we were in for a amazing contest between the Indians and the Caribbeans.
Indian openers were welcomed with a loud cheer, lots of love and support (yeah we were batting first, maybe not the happiest of occasions but magic awaited us).
Sheldon Cottrell was given the ball , he was the greatest addition to the West Indian side for the year 2019 and the way he bowled the first over , the excitement levels went even higher. The yorkers were just perfect and the ball swung both the ways, and the second over was no different.

Nevertheless there was something more special to the story and Ro-Hitman was not going to give up easily. A couple of sixes and a boundary, Wankhede was at the top of its voice. (Meanwhile, Kohli – “Abhi toh party shuru hui hai” ).
Rahul was not here to applaud he too made some noise, hit a couple of them with finesse. The stage was set and the openers were on fire (Aag lag chuki thi boss).
Every over I found a excuse to scream at the top of my voice. After a while of hard hitting, Khary Pierre was given the ball (Experts say that he was not seen after that 21 run over).
The cheers only increased and the sixes got bigger. After a couple of overs Hayden Walsh Jr was seen hanging out with Pierre. From the bottom of my heart I say that the two of them were the most generous people Rohit came across (37 in 2 overs was a good deal).
Rahul and Rohit got india to a flier and one of the best starts, they were at their flamboyant best. The fans couldn’t have asked for any more. But great things don’t last forever and Rohit was dismissed by Kesrick Williams.
Oh Man!! you know what? Rishabh pant walked in at 3.
C’mon he is a kind guy.
He wants to displease the crowd?? -NO!!
You wanted to see KING Kohli?-Even he wanted to! Hell yeah. 2 balls was all he took to get out.

And there it is Kohli walks into the stadium through the roaring crowd, he is not going to take long to get fully charged. Meanwhile, Rahul is having fun hitting all over the park striking the ball at 150+. Holder had it all in the 15th over, 22 runs, Kohli was pumped up and there was no looking back from there-on. 173 runs were smashed in 15 overs. Each and every ball was middle and struck with power. It was a run feast here at wankhede and it took all but 21 balls for Kohli to reach his 50 becoming his fastest fifty in T20i format.
Finally India ended up with 240 in 20 overs. It all ended in a click but let me tell you this it was one of the best we had ever seen.
Windies were in no mood to win the match. They had also lost one of their key batsman Evin Lewis to an injury in the first innings.
The opposition just could not stop the tide. India was completely on top of them.
Indian pacers were spot on and 3 wickets fell in the span of 5 overs. Even 140 felt difficult from there-on.

Hetmeyer and Pollard were something to cherish for the windies. They were feirce and aggressive and had some huge hits but no-where close to winning at any point of time. The run rate kept increasing and under pressure the batsmen lost their wickets to catches at the boundary ropes, as india seal the three T20I paytm series , 2-1.
This match was a memorable match and would remembered for a long time.
At the end of the last T20i for India in 2019 , Rohit and Kohli tie for the highest run scorers in T20i at 2633 runs.
